Our Story

Gloria Wall and her husband Steve founded Kate & Birdie Paper Co. in 2004 with a desire to live simply, thoughtfully, and bring products to the market that are made with beauty and longevity in mind. Over the course of the next decade, the company established itself in the specialty paper and gift industry, offering their Canadian made products to the global market through more than a thousand retail brands, independent shops and bookstores worldwide. While their focus began in high quality, sustainable stationery and paper goods, Gloria's heart has always been in textiles and at home. Named a Canadian designer to watch by House & Home magazine, Gloria's fabrics are created in soft, fresh colour palettes and classic patterns and textures that are her signature. Now an award winning product and textile design studio, Kate & Birdie continues to collaborate with premier manufacturing partners to develop fabrics, stationery and gifts and bring a little more beauty to homes across the globe.

Steve and Gloria live in Winnipeg, Canada with their two children, Sophie and Sam.
